Planning gets approved! ✅

Before works begin - where the pod will sit

Today is the day!

After what has felt like an eternity, but only really a matter of months, today is the day that we have been anxiously waiting for. On Tues 19th September we finally received the e-mail from Wiltshire Council confirming that they have granted approval of our ‘Change of Use’ planning submission…hurrah! To say we are delighted would be an understatement as I do not know what we would have done if we had not got the approval we needed. It would have certainly put a spanner in the works and slammed the brakes on this new career journey I am on. It’s not even worth reflecting on now or giving it the brain space because we’ve had the positive outcome that we need to move things forward.

So what’s next?

Well the build of the grooming pod is well under way and I look forward to sharing more news about that in future blogs. First and foremost we need to crack on with booking all the necessary trades folk required to get the services and ground works in place in preparation for the pods arrival. It has been a bit of a mission trying to get multiple quotes lined up from several builders, plumbers and electricians but we are finally there now and happy with the companies we’ve opted for. Fingers crossed by the end of October the concrete pad, that the pod will sit on, will have been laid along with the plumbing installed into the trench under the path and the electrics run from the front of the house into the rear garden.

Lots to do…but very exciting times! 😱
